Our client is an ambitious communications agency who are looking for an experienced Communications Manager. You must be a capable and confident operator who is able to work on their own initiative. Ideally you will have a good knowledge of public affairs and stakeholder engagement.

The successful candidate will be working on a range of projects in the energy, infrastructure, property and environment sector - this experience is essential.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced Communications Manager looking to take their career to the next level - for the right person the position could progress to Account Director level within 6-12 months.

Responsibilities:

  • Stakeholder and community mapping, research and database production.
  • Planning, organising and attending meetings and public events.
  • Growing the business, good working knowledge of the agencies business plan so you are able to target key sectors and clients.
  • Dealing with stakeholder enquiries (this could be out of hours).
  • You'll be responsible for keeping abreast of industry news, pro-actively responding to any major changes.

Skills and Experienced Required:

  • Good knowledge of the agencies main industrial sectors, including energy, infrastructure, property and environmental.
  • Working knowledge of local planning processes.
  • Knowledge of communication channels, the ability to asses which channel is most appropriate to reach which audience.
  • A good understanding of public affairs, including central and local governments.
  • Stakeholder relations and consultation, including stakeholder mapping and engagement.
  • Working knowledge of media relations, including message development and social media.
