An award-winning international legal firm is looking for a Business Development Executive to join their highly-regarded practice BD team. As one of the practice-focused BD professionals you will be responsible for the development and implementation of the BD plans for the firm's practices within the wider Corporate and Finance practice teams.

The role requires an individual who can work with departments in a proactive and client-centric way, with evidence of previous strong stakeholder management experience being key. The successful candidate will help the departments to fulfil their strategic objectives; and the planning and implementation of a range of initiatives designed to improve the generation of business from new and existing clients, enhance the firm's standing with major clients, prospects and new joiners and build the profile of the departments in the legal marketplace.The BD Executive (Corporate) will need to provide advice and day-to-day support to leaders of departments in relation to the wide range of BD initiatives they undertake and work with partners to identify, facilitate, track and monitor the pursuit of significant new business opportunities and develop strong relationships with lawyers in each practice so that they are viewed as a trusted advisor. You will be responsible for the implementation of a range of targeting and cross-selling initiatives; identifying topics for thought leadership and designing supporting campaigns; driving the firm's key client programme; and overseeing the directory submission process and awards submissions.

You will have approximately three years' experience working in a BD role in a professional
services environment, preferably within a law firm. Commercially astute, with a track record of growing existing and new business, you must have proficient systems skills, ideally including a knowledge of Interaction. The BD Executive must be able to build strong, effective relationships at all levels, be proactive and drive forward objectives and actions, identify opportunities for change and be a creative, lateral thinker with good organisational and presentation skills.
