A leading mid-tier law firm requires a talented Business Development Executive who will drive activities and initiatives that support the firm in profitable new business generation, growth of its key client base and in the development of its profile in the Private Wealth sector.
This is an exciting and dynamic role offering exposure to a broad spectrum of both business development and marketing activities On the BD side, the role holder will work with the BD Manager and Director of BD and Marketing to agree and implement the go-to-market approach for agreed areas of focus. You will assist fee earners in identifying defined prospects and support partners ahead of prospect meetings and in the follow up to these meetings, utilising available materials to ensure continuing contact through to securing initial instruction. The Business Development Executive will ensure the suitability of tender opportunities, and co-ordinate the production of the firm's response documentation and seek debrief information following submission to establish why the firm won or lost, feeding back to fee earners as appropriate. You will also reinforce value propositions to prospective audiences, through communications and the education of fee earners and undertake research on both existing and target clients. Client Development will be an area of focus, as you will be responsible for co-ordinating plans for the management of key clients and referrers and support collection of client feedback, utilising the insight gained to improve client experience. On the marketing side you will work with fee earners and the marketing team to implement annual and ad-hoc campaign and marketing plans including communications, collateral, events, PR and social media. The successful candidate will also be charged with establishing and maintaining boilerplate copy and a case study repository for credential document production and will co-ordinate and sign off the production of the firm's directory submissions.
The ideal candidate will be a bright graduate with a "can-do" attitude, high attention to detail and previous experience working in a similar role in a professional services organisation. The Business Development Executive will also need to have a calm organised approach when working under pressure and be able to provide evidence of good planning, organisation and communication skills and the ability to juggle many tasks effectively. Articulate and confident in dealing with people at all levels, it is essential that you possess a natural ability to build relationships and gain the confidence of partners.
