A leading City law firm is looking for a Business Development Executive to join the Business Development Department. Consisting of 5 staff, headed by the Business Development Manager, they are a hardworking and robust team who deal with a full spectrum of tasks including seminars, events, publications, press & PR, tenders and various marketing initiatives.
Tenders and Pitches -
The majority of tenders are for the public sector but this firm are looking to expand into the private sector and will be looking at opportunities within this area. You will be responsible for project managing the complete tender process, reviewing OJEU notices and highlighting opportunities to relevant teams. You'll create tender packs for new opportunities, arrange kick-off meetings and set deadlines, complete Pre-Qualification Questionnaires, draft ITT content to a high standard and keep track of tender results and feedback. In addition you will maintain an up to date precedents library of past tenders, update Tenders Central portal with key tender documentation, maintain up to date team CVs and relevant admin schedules including Value Added Benefit offerings and Framework Agreement expiry dates.
Interviews and Presentations -
You will work with Partners and departmental teams to create presentations for interview stages and arrange pre-interview practice sessions and provide ad-hoc training and advice on tender presentations.
Legal Directories -
You will be responsible for managing and drafting the submissions for Legal 500 and Chambers Legal Directories.
You will contribute to the client relationship management programme with client and sector research and support the CSR team with initiatives offered in tenders. You will update the website content on an ad-hoc basis, proof read publications, and provide support at events.
You'll be degree educated, possibly with a professional marketing qualification (CIM qualified) and have at least 24 months experience gained within a legal environment. You must have experience of the tender process within a law firm, including previous experience in an editorial role in the tender process. You will have knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel & Outlook, In-design, Salesforce, E-shot, and HTML coding. You'll be highly organised, proactive & results orientated with excellent written and oral communication skills. You will be able to work with people at all levels within the business and deal with difficult internal clients in an appropriate and professional manner.
