An excellent opportunity has arisen to join a leading Global Law Firm as a Business Development Manager for EMEA Capital Markets. Reporting to the Associate Director of EMEA Capital Markets you will be responsible for the development of the Debt Capital Markets business including Debt Capital Markets, High Yield, Derivatives and Structured Finance practices.
You will provide support to the EMEA Capital Markets in developing business opportunities with existing and new and clients and proactively ensuring information flow within the practice and beyond. The BD Manager (Capital Markets) will manage and drive the preparation of pitches, proposals, capability statements and other client presentations materials, working with the Associate director, to identify candidates for post pitch feedback and, where appropriate participate in calls with clients and partners to gather this feedback. You will also liaise with fee earners and BD colleague across EMEA to ensure that all the practice captures all pitches and proposals to clients, new engagements and closed deals, ensuring that this information is processed and disseminated internally and externally, specifically to league table publications and directories. You will support the partners to develop client relationships, share information and generally raise the practice profile across EMEA; proactively initiating ideas for new and existing client relationship development including knowhow, seminars, conferences, events and thought leadership. You will also be responsible for providing timely and accurate information for press releases, brochures and other internal and external communications as required; implementing best practice and leading the process of drafting and creating all relevant directory submissions and award entries.
Significant experience of some of, if not all the Capital markets products, is essential for any candidate considered for this role. The BD Manager will be a graduate with relevant and in depth business development experience in a professional services firm, preferably with Capital Markets business development experience gained whilst working in a legal firm. A proven track record of project managing and delivering pitches and proposals is essential and a relevant marketing qualification is an advantage. Good systems and database skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and CRM applications is also required.
