An excellent 12 month fixed term contract opportunity has arisen for a Business Development Manager to join a major law firm, working within the Financial Markets International Practice Group to plan, deliver and lead incisive and value-added business development support ensuring key objectives in the business plans are achieved.
The role holder will be responsible for developing and implementing the Financial Markets group's business plan, and for a number of the firm's key clients. The BD Manager (Financial Markets)'s main duties will involve acting as a driving force behind the key client development strategy and targeting programme; assessing and developing opportunities to strengthen international and cross-practice co-operation; managing pitches to sector clients; developing profile-raising campaigns; identifying priorities for product development; managing the sector budget; and day-to-day management of team members.
For this role, you must be a solution-oriented self-starter with relevant marketing and business development experience, ideally within a professional services environment or in the financial services sector. You must have advanced client development and project management skills, and adopt a highly consultative, team-focused approach. The BD Manager (Financial Markets) will be managing a diverse and inclusive team, so must be able to develop strong professional relationships, as well as to take a leadership and coaching role, including with senior staff. You must also have an understanding of how to manage pitch processes, and have excellent communication skills and attention to detail, and preferably a university degree in business, management or marketing.
