A large international law firm is looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to support the Restructuring group within the global banking practice group. The individual will advise and coordinate 11 partners' business and client developments plans, client relationship management, design and implement a communications strategy and coordinate pitches.

The individual will be a key member of the Banking business development team and will report to the Head of BD for the Banking practice. Key roles and responsibilities include business planning, drafting and reporting on the marketing plan. You will also be required to create the budget for the management of marketing costs and provide input on the strategic business plans for the global group. On the client care side, the individual will maintain and report on a focused client care programme for the major restructuring clients. You will work with London and International partners to develop an international co-ordinated client targeting and care programme. The individual will also have responsibility for marcoms and business development; devising original approaches to generate new marketing communications initiatives, overseeing the organisation of events and advise in the Restructuring pitching process. Your role also requires the provision of a structured and tailored training programme on business development techniques.

A successful candidate will have an excellent academic record and have significant business development experience gained in a large matrix-driven professional services firm. The individual must also have a high attention to detail and have experience managing and developing careers of junior staff. It is important to have the ability to motivate, develop and inspire both team and fee-earners to deliver business goals.
