Reporting to the Head of Brand, the Brand Marketing Controller will be actively involved in all aspects of delivering the marketing plans for Sky Ireland. The role will be working closely with the rest of the business to ensure that the Sky Ireland communication priorities flow through all appropriate marketing activity. In addition, this role will be responsible for supporting ATL campaigns to drive awareness of the product innovation with prospects and existing customers, defining the communication objectives, identifying the target audience and developing an engaging creative concept to represent the key benefits of this new proposition.

The Brand Marketing Controller is responsible for driving the marketing and communications strategy for Sky’s customer base in Ireland for Content, TV Products & Home Communications.

Key Responsibilities

Working with the Head of Brand to drive proactive thinking and identify opportunities for the Sky Brand
Delivery of key brand KPI’s – ITP, ITS and ITU, recognition and brand perceptions
Translate the marketing strategy into deliverable marketing campaigns and to identify short and long-term marketing priorities.
Heading delivery of campaigns. To include brief creation, testing of creative, delivery of copy and research
Management of multimillion euro brand budget, including recommendations on budget levels and deployment, media and messaging
Provide outstanding creative input to both campaign development and external teams working with the department.
Working in partnership with and managing our media and creative agencies to deliver best in class work and innovative solutions to campaigns
Outline brand priorities to internal stakeholders to ensure all owned, earned and paid media channels are aligned with brand creative and messaging
Drive the understanding of the Sky Brand internally
Work closely with Creative Agencies to ensure delivery of an idea that works effectively TTL
Build strong relationships within the UK Brand teams and with other teams including Media, Sales, Customer Management, PR, Legal and Online.
Ensure all campaigns are measured and results shared, building the learning into future campaigns
Ensure all activities are carried out cost effectively, efficiently and within budget.
Presenting campaigns at head of and director level.
Represent Sky Ireland at key meetings in UK - travel will be involved.

Essential Skills

Educated to degree level
Minimum of 5 - 8 years’ experience in a marketing role
Proven track record of delivery of ATL communications including digital, social, TV, print, OOH and radio
Demonstrable experience managing multiple creative and media agencies across a number of campaigns.
Marketing experience in a product launch environment
Flexibility and adaptability including willingness to travel and undertake tasks not directly linked with the core job description
Good organisational skills
Strong communication skills
Creativity, flair and strategic thinking with a hands-on approach
An ability to build relationships and influence others
Energy, drive and enthusiasm
Ability to work on own initiative, get things done and be part of a broader team
Numerate & analytical with the ability to identify insightful data & trends and acting upon this to drive optimisation & efficiencies.
Strong working knowledge of MS office suite particularly Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
