The Company is the leading representative body for the UK offshore oil and gas industry with offices in London and Aberdeen.

They are seeking a talented graduate to provide market intelligence, analysis and insight on the oil and gas industry in the UK.

About the Role:

Reporting to the Market Intelligence Manager and as a member of the Market Intelligence team of business advisers, you will service the research, analytical and reporting requirements of all of the teams within the company in a timely and professional manner providing general and specialist business advice as required.

Job Purpose:

  • To provide market intelligence, analysis and insight on the Exploration and Production industry in the UK, preparing reports and insights commissioned by the teams / team within the company;
  • Member of the Market Intelligence team of business advisers, servicing the research, analytical and reporting requirements of all of the teams within the company in a timely and professional manner providing general and specialist business advice as required.

The Candidate:

The successful candidate will carry out analysis, provide and share insight and presentations and engage with members and key stakeholders in the industry.

As such, the successful candidate must have the ability to prepare, analyse and present complex information in an effective and timely manner with good oral and written communication fluency to match.

Minimum of a 2:1 honours in a mathematical, economics, science, or engineering related degree.

Knowledge, Skills, Experience: (includes technical skills, professional qualifications and competencies)

  • Ability to prepare, analyse and present complex information in an effective and timely manner;
  • Good communicator with oral and written fluency to match;
  • Interest and ability to acquire knowledge of the industry dynamics policy framework and the regulatory, fiscal, licensing regime governing the UKCS;
  • Energy and ability to work within and across teams, to facilitate effective decision-making and issues management;
  • Evidence of strong work ethic and awareness of discretion and need to observe confidentiality in all matters.
