Business Development Director: Manchester - Creative Design agency

Better Placed are working exclusively with one of Manchester's leading Digital Marketing agencies in their search for a Business Development Director. A new role that will form part of the agencies senior management team, our client is looking for a new business professional with a proven track record delivering growth within a Digital Marketing agency.

The agency enjoys long established relationships with a number of major brands within a range of B2C sectors. Now they're looking to grow the agency and this has led to the creation of the Business Development Director role.

You will be given a high degree of autonomy from day one to shape the Business Development strategy. Specifically this will entail:

  • Identifying opportunities within existing clients to develop the relationship further, gaining internal referrals to other decision makers and divisions.
  • Developing a target client list and utilising the full range of your sales techniques to open doors and present the agencies impressive credentials to key decision makers.
  • Following up previous project-based clients and identifying opportunities to provide further support.
  • Coordinating marketing activities for the agency including Email, SEO, PPC etc.
  • Attending networking opportunities and identify opportunities to raise awareness of the agency.

The agencies client roster and the results they have delivered for these brands are impressive so you can be confident in the solutions and credentials you will be presenting.

Applicants for the Business Development Director role must be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Experience developing and winning new business on behalf of a Digital Marketing agency.
  • Successful track record winning business from major Consumer brands
  • A consultative, solution-led sales approach with the ability to build long-term relationships rather than just short-term wins.
