The Business Development Executive Opportunity:

Under the direction of the Publisher Services Director and the Snr PBDM, the role-holder will have ultimate responsibility for introducing new innovative business models to the network and to establish new types of revenue generating partnerships within our Affiliate Network.

Business Development Executive Roles & responsibilities:

Client development:

+ Acquiring new UK and DE publishers and business models to our suite of services
+ Strategically aligning publisher recruitment efforts with Advertisers needs
+ Managing the relationship of tier 1-4 (tier 1 = top publishers) Publishers from the initial education process through to becoming order active partners 
+ Develop and execute effective partnership sales, strategies and tactics
+ Represent us at tradeshows and events
+ Manage, track and report business leads using Salesforce
+ Formulate and present sales presentations
+ Assist in Prospective Advertiser pitches

Collaboration:

+ Work alongside the Network Development team 
+ Work closely with Client Services to identify partnership opportunities to grow our business
+ Manage leads and marketing activities with the Sales and Marketing team
+ Work with other channel counterparts to offer full solutions to clients
+ Work closely with US/AUS/EU internal counterparts to lead affiliate initiatives across territories
+ Developing, maintaining, and extending relationships internally and externally
+ Taking on 1-3 internal projects per year

Business Development Executive Key requirements:

Technical /functional expertise:


+ Fluent in German and English
+ Preferably BA degree in a Marketing or Sales field, with passion for e-commerce, sales and customer services.
+ Competent in Microsoft Office programmes - particularly Excel (intermediate) and PowerPoint
+ Experience in business development, would be desirable
+ Web literate (tracking analytics and methods)
+ Strong aptitude for learning new technologies and publisher business models

Personal effectiveness:

+ Highly organised, self-motivated, good time-management, able to prioritise 
+ Think creatively, has a problem-solving approach and uses professional judgement
+ Proactive - continually looking for ways to grow and improve within own role
+ Work well under pressure and to tight deadlines
+ Inquisitive approach to continuously learning on the job

Communication skills:

+ Strong customer services skills: Negotiation, diplomacy, able to translate between client requirements and technical specifications 
+ Excellent written and verbal communication, go the extra mile to exceed publisher expectations
+ Confident interpersonal skills 

Results focus:

+ Detail-orientated 
+ Analytical and Strategic: Demonstrate success in measuring results and setting, meeting, and exceeding aggressive quantitative goals. 
+ Proof that you can set and surpass KPI targets 

Teamwork:

+ Reliable and able to work independently on targets
+ A real team player that is able to integrate and work closely with an enthusiastic team
Understanding of the business
+ Strong understanding of digital marketing concepts / solutions, particularly Affiliate Marketing
