Parker Young are working with a leading FMCG business to identify a Category Analyst to support the identification of opportunities in the market and drive business growth.
As Category Analyst you will be responsible for designing, implementing and measuring methods that test category building across a variety of areas including; range & distribution, pricing & promotions, availability and space & merchandising. You provide data driven insights, analyses and recommendations to customers aligning all activities and plans with the category vision and strategic growth drivers. You will work closely with relevant internal teams helping to deliver the brand's commercial strategic objectives.
The ideal candidate for this role will have previous data management experience and have the ability to work with large raw data sets and pull out relevant information and then turn that into actionable recommendations. You must be of degree calibre, ideally business or marketing related, have strong Excel skills and ideally experience with Nielsen, Kantar or IRI.
