Category Controller FMCG – 6-9 month Contract
c.£70-75K or Day Rate £400-450
A proven track record delivering robust, innovative category visions and strategies for major retail partners is essential for this challenging interim role with a highly-regarded player in the premium foods sector, known for its innovative approach to brand and product development. Leading a small head office team, and working alongside your sales colleagues, you will deliver sustainable category growth - building trusted retailer relationships, managing range and category reviews, tailored NPD and promotional initiatives and fixture & merchandising plans – all grounded in market, shopper and consumer insight.
As the interim Category Controller, you will need to hit the ground running – quickly taking on the day-to-day responsibilities of their role as well as picking up a number of strategic projects. Hands-on experience in a senior client-side role is essential for this role, but you may well have also gained experience within a consulting or agency role too. What is also essential is a drive for tangible results in order to achieve sales and share targets for the business and customers, as well as an open, collaborative, positive working style.
