Category Development Manager – 12 month contract
£50K + car allowance + bonus
Smart, commercially savvy category specialist needed NOW for this demanding interim role with a major FMCG powerhouse. As the market leader in a large and highly-competitive food & snacking category, this business offers a full-on, full-mix role demanding the best talent!
A 12 month maternity cover, this strategically important category management position is a great opportunity for a category specialist looking for real accountability and autonomy. Working across a number of brands with a top grocer, you will lead range and category reviews, tailor plans to the customer (NPD selling stories, fixture visions, brand plans etc), and be the front person presenting these plans to gain alignment; NPD and distribution target setting/tracking will also be your responsibility.
- Robust understanding of Category Management and Shopper Marketing Principles and execution.
- Strong grasp of the UK Retail Trade across all Channels and proven experience in developing and executing merchandising and category recommendations in multiple customers or channels.
- Proven experience with leading, developing and deploying 3 Year Category Plans that deliver effective business results.
- Extensive knowledge of space planning and insight tools and data sets spanning but not limited to JDA, Nielsen, Kantar and dunnhumby.
This cross functional role provides a full on, challenging and highly rewarding opportunity within a £billion+ food manufacturer. FMCG category management experience required.
