Category Manager, Bury St Edmunds -

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a creative Category Manager, with at least 4 years' experience to join an industry-leading consumer brand at their head office. This position offers flexible working for those looking to do a day from home. Ideally educated to degree level, you will have a background in category management within a large FMCG business. With a head for figures but with a creative flair, you will be adept at interpreting and analysing data and producing compelling consumer insights and category recommendations. You will have exceptional communication skills and will be comfortable liaising with stakeholders at all levels, as well as a confident and persuasive presenter and public speaker, with the ability to concisely explain complex data and analysis in an exciting manner.

As Category Manager, you will be responsible for commissioning market and consumer research projects, to gain insight into key market trends and consumer behaviour, the findings of which will be integral to shaping company strategy. Using a number of data programs, you will analyse key shopper behaviours and trends, in order to drive the category, and business, forward. Your findings will also be used across departments to influence key range and product planning, including new product development. An effective and persuasive communicator, you will be responsible for driving the category within selected retailers and ensuring retailers support the business' objectives.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Category Manager, who is confident managing and analysing large sums of data. Candidates must be comfortable working independently and also be able to have frequent communication with international markets. Due to the location of this role, it is commutable to those living in Cambridge, Bury St Edmunds, Thetford, Ipswich, Ely and Letchworth to name a few.
