Commercial Analyst

Reports to: Commercial Analytics Manager

Location: Leeds / Pinewood

Working as part of the Commercial Analytics department you will work with a wide range of internal teams including Sales, Marketing and Finance. Your role will be to provide accurate, efficient and consistent financial and non-financial analysis that will be used to influence and drive strategic business decisions. You will have the opportunity to work closely with all levels of the business and establish strong working relationships that will help aid you in your future career at Johnson and Johnson.

Main Responsibilities – include but are not limited to:

• Identify trends and anomalies in sales and market performance for reporting to the leaders of the business units

• Ensure accurate, efficient and consistent sales reporting

• Utilise advanced visualisation software to create analytic dashboards

• Manage sales reporting systems and tools

• Manage third party sales allocations

• Work with the Senior Analysts to calculate and accrue commissions for the sales teams

• Work with the Senior Analysts to calculate and manage all sales and profitability targets

• Price Volume Mix reporting

• Market reporting

• Go to Market data management

• Tender / impact analysis

• Participate in and lead process improvements for the whole team

Qualifications

DESIRED PROFILE - Knowledge / Experience / Skills / Capabilities required

The Commercial Analyst will ideally have knowledge of the following tools:

• Microsoft Excel – Advanced knowledge

• Cognos

• SAP BI

• Other reporting tools (Qlik, Tableau, etc.)

• Microsoft Access

• Other Microsoft packages

• JD Edwards and SAP

Additionally, they will be/have:

• Strong leadership and decision making skills

• Highly numerate

• Attention to detail

• The ability to analyse, work through and solve problems

• Good communication skills, communicating daily with customers, directors, sales force and other line managers and ability to form good working relationships

• Customer focused

• Good written and spoken English

• Ability to prioritise work on a daily basis

• A team player
