Our client is a Cambridge based educational charity working to overcome exclusion through language education. They are delivering their vision through two strategic programmes, "Language for Results" and "Language for Change" targeting children with English as an additional language, and offenders with language and literacy needs. Their work reaches those who work with these groups such as teachers, school leadership and prison staff as well as thought leaders.
Our client has an exciting new opportunity for a Communications Manager to work within a growing dynamic team. You will be responsible for developing and implementing a communications strategy and programme across the entire spectrum of communications disciplines including media and public relations, public affairs, brand, marketing, events, digital and social media, production of materials and support to external partners.
With outstanding oral and written communication skills, you will have experience working in a comparable role in the charity sector or education sector with experience of managing communications across a range of communications disciplines including digital and social media. Experience of developing and delivering a communications strategy and plan is essential, along with the ability to deal efficiently and confidently with media, subject experts and other external stakeholders. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be an innovative self-starter and able to work as part of a team.
