4 month FTC for a Housing Association for Communications Officer based in Stratford paying up to £32,000 PY.
I am looking for a communications Officer with proven media experience to help promote the organisations role in a major upcoming merger,and deliver activity to support our wider communications strategy.
You will have a broad range of communication and marketing skills, but in particular you will be able to demonstrate experience of securing news coverage in a variety of media. You will be an excellent copy writer and possess the skills and experience needed to produce a variety of different staff facing communications on behalf of internal clients. You will have an enthusiastic and personable approach to your work, and be passionate about good communication. Ideally you'll have some experience of working within the housing, local authority or charity sector.
-Experience of writing news, feature and informative copy for diverse audiences.
-Experience of placing news stories in a variety of media.
-An understanding of the internal and external communication needs of a large organization, ideally gained through being part of an in-house marketing and communications team.
-Experience of managing projects.
About the role
The Communications Officer will support the Head of Merger Communications in the planning and delivery of media, staff and stakeholder engagement supporting their organisations forthcoming merger. In addition to this the role will provide support to the wider Marketing and Communications team by coordinating content for a variety of external facing channels.
About the marketing and communications team
The marketing and communications team are responsible for communicating to the residents of our 15,000 homes, and other stakeholders through regular publications, online channels and events. The team is also responsible for media relations, public affairs, stakeholder engagement and internal communications to the group's 700 staff.
