About the role

Following the recent news of our exciting joint venture with Allianz, we’ve been busy working on a brand new General Insurance Digital Strategy and Roadmap, which looks to rebuild and transform LV= into a truly authentic, agile and creative digital organisation. About the role

As Digital Product Manager, you’ll work collaboratively with the Proposition Managers and Product Owners and be responsible for delivering digital initiatives using Agile methodology.

Your role will focus on delivering our digital agenda and providing customers with choice, making us easier to business with, offering frictionless transactions and putting our customers at the very heart of everything we do. Day to day you’ll work with a high degree of autonomy and accountability and your key responsibilities will be;

•Own and manage the self-serve strategy, and contribute and support with senior stakeholders to define the digital product roadmap and vision

•Own, develop and reinforce the digital product roadmap

•Defines features to be implemented and create the overall feature backlog

•Prioritises features and works closely with the Product Owner(s) to ensure the vision of user stories is clearly articulated so that they can prioritise the development team backlog correctly

•Ensure product backlogs are continually managed and prioritised working with product owners so that feature/scrum teams are fully optimised in delivery

•Work collaboratively with stakeholders and external suppliers to ensure buy-in, alignment and successful delivery of the digital roadmap/agenda

•Manage the product owners and the wider delivery teams to :

o Ensure all initiatives have defined business cases and that outputs are aligned to deliver the changes required

o Engage technical delivery areas and business areas to ensure application and infrastructure changes are scoped and delivered

•Pro-actively manage issues, risks and dependencies taking action as appropriate to achieve urgent resolution, escalating clearly and promptly as required

•Present the vision, which highlights the proposed features of the solution at each Program Increment (PI) planning session, including any relevant upcoming milestones

•Lead the business element of the Pre-PI planning meeting, working with the Solution Train stakeholders to define the inputs, milestones, and high-level objectives for the upcoming PI planning session

•Be responsible for decision making on business priorites based on cost and effort to deliver the business objectives

About you

Essential:

•Previous experience in delivering product initiatives using Agile methodology.

•Previous experience in large delivery roles with a large project background

•Knowledgeable and passionate of digital development and delivery

•Significant experience of customer service/experience design from ideation into commerciality

•Successful track record of delivering complex digital projects and/or programmes, utilising appropriate techniques and tools to ensure and measure success

•An understanding of current customer trends and needs

•Ability and willingness to work effectively under pressure and to complete the tasks required in a timely manner and with a high degree of accuracy

•Proven leadership, communication and collaboration skills

Desirable:

•Understanding of general insurance and backend data systems

•Ability to translate research/customer insight into business plans and outcomes

•Commercial acumen with the management of 3rd party delivery, service and support contracts

•Background in Blue chip or FTSE 100 level organisations

•An MBA or a relevant post graduate qualification

•Good knowledge of customer propositions and product development lifecycle
