Director of Communications - 12 month maternity cover,
This prestigious and well respected not-for-profit organisation are recruiting for a Director of Communications to cover a 12 Month Maternity contract. The role will suit an organised, robust, tenacious, creative and lateral thinker with great people skills who will provide effective in house communications support for the organisation. From copy writing to national media outreach this role gets involved in all aspects of the organisations corporate and commercial programmes. As a Director you will be required to work collaboratively with service areas and partners for the purpose of achieving objectives and to lead and develop the communications strategy.
The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:
*Experience of working in a corporate communications role at a senior level
*Leading the development and implementation of successful public affairs strategies
*Excellent knowledge and experience with the food industry
*Experience of managing direct reports
*Management of a communications team
*Excellent Stakeholder engagement skills
*Proven change management experience
*Evidence of developing relationships with trade associations and media

This role is commutable from Cambridge, Newmarket, Ely, Bury St. Edmunds, Haverhill, Bishops Stortford, Hitchin, St Neots, Huntingdon, Bedford, Ely and Royston.
