Position: Ecommerce Marketplace Manager
Location: Huddersfield, West Yorkshire
Job Type: Full time, Permanent
Hours: 39.5 hours per week
Salary: £35k - £45k per annum, dependent on experience, OTE
About the role:
Are you all about Ebay and Amazon’s marketplace interfaces? Do you know how to increase visibility of products and make them stand out from the rest? They’re looking for an ambitious and talented Ecommerce Marketplace Manager to take full responsibility for our client’s eBay, Amazon and other Marketplace stores.
You’ll be responsible for shaping the strategy for the growth within these areas for our client. You’ll need to determine which products to sell, what pricing, how they are displayed and see this as an opportunity to treat it as your own business, with your own P&L report and targets to grow the profitability of the channels.
Working as an Ecommerce Marketplace Manager you’ll be responsible for managing the relationships with Amazon, eBay and all other marketplace stores. You'll be responsible for the strategy for our client’s marketplace proposition, and as a result will always be thinking about how to drive each channel forward to increase sales.
You'll obviously need to work with a number of other departments, from the Creative Team, eCommerce Team and their Website Traders to really ensure their core products are pushed, and pushed in the right way. It’s also key to analysis their competitor websites to make sure they are at the top of their game and that their ratings continue to improve as a result!
They’re really keen to hear from you if you’ve got experience working with Amazon and eBay, to really understand what sells and why, to really support this area of growth within Buy It Direct. As you’d expect you must have extremely strong commercial acumen, understanding of the dynamics of an online retail business.
Of course they need you to be a creative thinker, which you can use alongside your ability to understand customer needs to really provide them with a great online user experience. You must be really proactive and forward thinking, with the determination to succeed.
