An opportunity has become available to join the Freight & Fleet team within a Public Transport body.
Your new role
To support the delivery of projects and initiatives which make the movement and delivery of goods in London safer, more efficient and more sustainable. You will support the Freight and Fleet Programme Manager and Project Manager in assisting in delivering Freight and Fleet projects and initiatives to time, cost and quality standards. You will identify and highlight project risks and issues, implement contingency plans and prepare progress reports and management information. The role will also involve effective commissioning and contract management of supply chain partners (internal & external) so stakeholder engagement is key.
What you'll need to succeed
A broad understanding of key issues related to sustainable transport policy, the ability to influence and persuade through effective writing and presentation skills and also the ability to adapt communication style to engage with stakeholders from a wide range of backgrounds. The successful candidate needs to be analytic and able to present complex numerical and written information in an appropriate format.
