Are you a front end web developer with some knowledge of PHP and a year or more commercial experience? If so a new opportunity has arisen with a Canterbury based company that could be exactly what you are looking for!

The company.

A retail group with a number of different e-commerce sites under their umbrella, the company have a group of talented and friendly IT professionals that build and maintain these websites. The organisation has its base in Canterbury and you will be joining the team that focuses on their furniture e-commerce site. The company have a really inclusive and helpful culture and aim to continually grow the skills of their team members.

The role.

For the front end developer role, the retail group are ideally looking for someone who is able to work effectively under pressure and find creative solutions to the problems that arise in the day to day tasks. Tasks that range from maintaining and modifying current e-commerce sites to the design and creation of entirely new pages for the business. All with the goal of creating exceptionally good looking and smoothly operating websites.

The experience we need.

The successful front-end developer will have the following:
  • 1 or more years commercial front-end development experience 
  • Strong HTML, CSS and Javascript skills 
  • Experience with PHP & Laravel is highly favourable 
  • Confident working with CMSs, in particular Magento
  • Keen eye for detail
  • Highly self-motivated and great communication skills
