Here's the chance for you to take control of an 'always on', high visibility TTL marketing programme with a significant media spend, and work for a clear market leader who operates in a highly competitive, fast moving and dynamic consumer marketplace.

THE OPPORTUNITY

The business is looking to engage with a truly customer centric marketer who has a keen eye for performance in marketing programmes, and therefore has the capability of taking the helm of what is a very busy campaign function, looking after the trading and acquisition marketing engine for the business' highest profile product categories.

By virtue of this importance, it also makes this position one with lots of influence and exposure to the very top levels of the business. As you will be the person setting the strategy and vision for the marketing plan, and when shortfalls in trading numbers arise, pulling together remedial plans and seeking approval from commercial, finance and executive teams to ensure the proper support and delivery is achieved in order to exceed key target and commercial objectives.

You will be handling multiple product sets, with the ambition of delivering a unified marketing approach to achieve sell-through of multi-play, bundled propositions into UK consumer homes.

You will have the support of a team of 8, and a budget of circa £40m under your control. The existing team is a blend of highly capable and experienced performance marketers and also developing talent. As the team leader, you will be responsible for their continued development and career plans, as well as team morale. It's a very outgoing team, which afford a good sense of banter and a fun environment to be part of.

Your measures of success will be:

  • Achieving acquisition and growth trading targets
  • Leveraging killer insights to create innovative, insight based multi-channel campaigns to drive sales and customer acquisition metrics.
  • Marketing Effectiveness - Ensuring channel performance is optimised to achieve commercial objectives at the appropriate CPA target levels - with campaigns sometimes exceeding £10m, and leveraging a variety of channels at once, it's important to ensure volume and value metrics are delivered
  • Team leadership - this business is big on developing its people, and as someone in charge of a good sized team, you will be responsible for their personal development and engagement with the business

As a broader division, brand marketing teams will work alongside you and your function to dovetail their marketing efforts to ensure the overall business objectives are achieved, and their work will have a positive impact on you achieving yours too. They are one of the UK's biggest media spenders, and as such have an 'always on' approach across ATL and BTL. There's also seasonal promotional spikes of marketing investment in order to drive sales performance at key points of the year, these will largely fall to your team to deliver.

They're looking for someone with ambition and the capability of stepping up into a bigger, more all-encompassing role in the next couple of years, looking to run the overall marketing programme for this business area which will include the broader brand piece too.

As you can probably see by now, this isn't a run-of-the-mill opportunity working for just any brand - and you won't be doing it just for any product offering either. You will be leading the way with all other brands watching closely, chasing your tail. The question is, are you up for the challenge?
