Head of Marketing & Business Development

A commercial, professional services organisation based in Yorkshire.

Due to growth, my client is looking for an ambitious and motivated Head of Marketing & Business Development to create, develop and implement a marketing and business development strategy to support and drive further growth alongside Partners in the firm.

Responsibilities

  • Overall responsibility for developing marketing & communications campaigns
  • Establish, build and maintain relationships with targets and professionals
  • Continuously identify new business development opportunities and convert into prospects
  • Take responsibility for client relationship management activities. This will include managing on-going relationships with clients to ensure that the team is delivering the levels of service expected.
  • Develop new opportunities in line with strategic goals, using appropriate strategies and business development activities and resources to achieve this such as through the use of social media, attending networking events etc.
  • Build and maintain key relationships with Partners and Unit Heads of the teams within the Firm through regular formal or informal meetings so that opportunities for cross-selling and general client and/or sector-specific information can be shared and disseminated.
  • Generate, design and implement new campaigns to raise awareness of the brand and to lead new business opportunities for the firm
  • Develop tailored proposal documents and sales pitch

Personal Profile

  • Proven experience operating in a Senior business development & marketing role
  • Experience working with Partners to develop new business strategy and implementing marketing activities
  • Experience working for a Law Firm or Professional Services firm
  • Evidence of achieving significant growth through strategic Business Development & Marketing strategies
  • Strong Marketing & Communications skills and experience
  • Organised with a methodical approach to work

The opportunity will suit a Head of Marketing or Head of Business Development Professional operating at a Senior Management level with experience working either in a Professional Services environment or working directly for a Law firm.
