An exciting new Innovation Brand Manager role has been created for two high-profile brands at a major FMCG business. You will support the Innovation Controller in delivery of the strategy and plan development for Innovation across a growing area of the business. The Innovation Brand Manager will play a fundamental role in diversifying and re-energising some of Britain's most loved brands. This comes at an exciting time for the business as it continues to invest in expansion plans.

Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the Category and Insight teams to develop a Category innovation strategy and from this the innovation platforms.
  • Understand leading technologies available globally in the category and bring these in where appropriate.
  • Develop insights which drive concept platforms and create the opportunity areas for future initiatives.
  • Develop a funnel of qualified activities, equating to a target of 10% total category turnover annualised.
  • Develop a pipe-line of initiatives in-year and for next 2 years.
  • Deliver successful initiatives, which hit Gate 3 expectations and deliver against key KPIs.
  • Work with multi-functional team to deliver projects through to start of shipment.

Key Knowledge & Skills

  • 2/3+ years FMCG innovation experience, including experience of developing consumer concepts through to product launch.
  • Commercial orientation. Proven track record of bringing innovations to action which build sales.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit. Desire to continuously look for new ideas and ways of working, as well as embedding them into a team.
  • Personal Impact. Communication and influencing skills.
  • Results oriented - able to work collaboratively with teams and deliver personal accountabilities along with team goals. Strong drive for results & able to act with pace. Solution oriented: able to tackle issues as they arise & seek solutions.
