Insight/Research Director - Hertfordshire - Consumer/FMCG/Retail

An excellent move for a talented all-rounder who is equally at home with client duties as with team management, hands-on research and the delivery of marketing insights. This established and award-winning agency has earned an enviable reputation in FMCG and Retail research through their sophisticated insights and real understanding of their clients' marketing. The senior team are all hands-on and enjoy making a visible difference to client marketing strategies and as a result are recognised industry experts. Growth of the business has created an additional space at the senior end of the business for a versatile Research Director who can contribute their commercial, client management and team leadership capabilities and share in the success of the business. The work will be highly varied, as will the client base, requiring the ability to decide on the best methods for each problem and to present to a wide and diverse client audience. You should therefore be able to distil the meaning behind the research and be able to communicate with both research-literate and non-research specialists to ensure the clients receive the most effective and actionable recommendations.

Probably with some agency experience, you should be at Insight/Research Director-level and have excellent all-round client and research delivery skills, plus a solid quantitative grounding (an appreciation of Qualitative research would be a plus but is not essential). Experience of shopper insights and POS research would also be a plus.
