The company is looking to hire an Insight Manager to own the data agenda for the business. This role is integral to unlocking top-line growth and bottom-line value and enables the company to deliver great value services, by providing the business with actionable insight from its proprietary data about customers, prospects and the market.

Working with the Product Director, Marketing Director & COO and members of the board, you will provide stakeholders with actionable insight and business opportunities derived from company data, for example by:

  • Specifying customer segments, products, and marketing & sales campaign treatment as an input to marketing and sales strategies;
  • Informing the customer & prospect contact strategy - frequency, channels, sequence of actions, messaging;
  • Evaluating customer churn propensity and identifying its drivers;
  • Evaluating customer & prospect purchase propensity and identifying its drivers;
  • Reviewing campaign effectiveness and feeding back results and recommendations to management.
  • Act as the expert on customer data insight for internal partners in Marketing, Sales, Account Management and Finance.

The Insight Manager role requires the following experience:

  • Experience of data analysis in a commercial environment to identify new opportunities and drive continuous improvement in operational effectiveness.
  • Strategic thinker able to develop inputs to product and sales strategies and gain company-wide commitment to them.
  • Understanding of data protection and privacy legislation and regulation relevant to small business sales and marketing.
  • Ability to work with proactively with minimal direction in a fast paced environment.
  • High level of skill in Excel; competence in Word and Powerpoint.
  • High levels of literacy, numeracy, and analytical skills.
  • Good influencing skills.
  • Good written and verbal communication.

Desirable skills & experience

  • Appreciation of multi-channel data-driven marketing and sales.
  • Experience of working within a business-to-business services environment.
  • Degree-level education in a numerate subject.
  • Marketing and / or data management qualification (eg IDM Award in Data Management).
