One critical point to highlight before going into the detail, this role needs someone who has CTC level security clearance - if you don't have this, unfortunately the role isn't going to be right for you. Please be clear on application to confirm you have this.

This is a high profile marketing leadership position working for a government office. You will be owning the big issue campaigns of the moment and into the future, with the remit to devise the strategy behind these. The agenda is broad, covering lots of big impact topics; looking to sway and influence public opinion off the back of them.

Some are very sensitive subjects and some are targeted at specific communities and demographics and as such can be very sensitive in nature; as such you will need a certain level of sensitivity when landing these, ensuring their strategy is underpinned by sound insight and thereby achieve the required results and impact.

You will be leading the marketing team to deliver high quality, ambitious campaigns executed TTL. Responsible for setting direction and driving high standards for all marketing output, ensuring you and your team are delivering to all key priorities and objectives.

You will also be leading the agency roster, ensuring value for money and also quality of output is maintained, whilst also being responsible for those relationships - ensuring briefs are clear and they're delivering to deadlines too.

You're going to have a large budget under your control. Campaigns are executed TTL and your success measures will be around typical brand scores such as influence, resonance, recall, etc.

This is a really important role doing very high profile, meaningful campaigns to the general public. Your work will have a meaningful impact on people's lives and past campaigns have had significant influences on the consumer mindset around key issues across the board - think things like anti-smoking, drink driving, knife crime and lots, lots more.

This role will also sit outside of the IR35 regulations.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Must hold CTC level security clearance
  • Significant marketing background with experience both leading a team/division as well as owning large-scale, high-profile campaigns TTL
  • Professional marketing pedigree established either agency or client side
  • You've owned a big budget (multi-millions) and been responsible for ensuring optimum value and results are achieved through its use in campaign spends
  • Sound strategic pedigree - able to look at the bigger picture and deal with complexities as well as conflicting priorities effectively
  • Solid networker and know how to navigate your way through big, complex organisations
  • You have the right to live and work in the UK (they will not be able to provide sponsorship)
