£60 to £70k (FTC to Perm)

A leading global publishing house is looking for an Interim Head of Digital Marketing, 3 to 6 month FTC to Perm.

Reporting to the CEO the role is aligned with the senior management team and to ensure the digital marketing team supports in the delivery of the implementation and execution of the business objectives and the successful day to day running of the services and products it provides its audience.

Responsibilities

Immediate priorities
Stabilise the team, understand business needs and work with the business heads and senior marketing people to create an action plan
Understand the complexities of the projects and what the business priorities are
Monitor, guide and provide feedback to the marketing department on their performance and the delivery against business goals
Work with heads of departments to ensure successful running of business services to audiences we serve
Design and implement comprehensive marketing strategies to create awareness of full suite of business services
Control and monitor marketing budgets with marketing team, in conjunction with accounts to ensure maximum ROI on all marketing expenditure where applicable

Line Management of two senior managers
Performance management, coaching, resourcing and training and development for direct reports
Support and monitor workload and overall progress against business objectives and personal objectives to ensure high employee engagement and progress
Accountability for wider team deliverables

Have very strong relationships and open communication channels with all colleagues, across the business, in particular senior management and board members
Resilience in handling objections and challenges
Up to speed with current and online digital marketing techniques and best practices across the sector and the ability to judge viability and implementation of those within the business
Ability to communicate, educate and influence key stakeholders on a regular basis
