We've looking for an experienced Events Manager who has experience of developing special events programmes on behalf of high profile consumer electronics or home entertainment companies - this project will be to handle their event presence, suppliers, all meetings (both inside and outside the show itself), etc. at the world's biggest consumer electronics tradeshow, the CES in Las Vegas!

You're going to be given complete autonomy and control of the company's event programme for the show, and it's a crucial date in their calendar as they look to unveil their 2018 and beyond line up of consumer home automation solutions.

On top of the event itself will be the need to arrange subsidiary events, conferences and dinners which take place both during and after the tradeshow itself, for key business leaders, influencers, press and other VIP's.

Before, during and after the event you will be required to manage all third party suppliers, venue contacts and onsite event support teams to ensure things run smoothly. Naturally the event being located overseas, travel will be a key part as part of this role. But it's only occasional and revolves around those key event dates.

THE BUSINESS

This is a highly entrepreneurial operation - one that's grown quickly and launching internationally to a number of EMEA markets as well as in the USA. Their product suite is rapidly diversifying to take advantage in the explosion of connected home automation solutions, including plugging into things like Alexa and Google Home too.

Their base of operations is Central London. It's a funky office which reflects the business' character too. They're growing fast and have been hiring a lot of people of late. This role will be a key position to support their event strategy to support ongoing brand presence growth as well as gaining things like press exposure to new product launches and creating a real buzz around a product category that's really taking off with UK and international consumers.

Role: Interim International Events Manager
Location: Central London
Rate: £400-500 per day (experience dependant)
Term: 3 months

Experience Required:

  • Ideal experience will be having owned the development and execution of major consumer exhibition events at things like CES, IFA, MWC, as detailed above
  • You've done this on behalf of a major consumer brand, ideally within consumer electronics, mobile phone manufacturer or home entertainment brands
  • You have an interest in consumer electronics and home automation products like Alexa, Google Home, automated lighting, energy, etc. etc.
  • Excellent project management skills, highly organised and a great, positive attitude
  • A really solid depth of experience in this kind of event management field
  • You've worked with big budgets and have polished leadership skills, able to pull together large teams of people and deliver on-time, to budget
  • Able to demonstrate you're able to deal with multiple large-scale and complex projects at any one time
  • A marketing qualification would be beneficial
  • Must have the necessary visas to live and work in the UK - sponsorship cannot be provided.
