Investment Communications Specialist - Central London

£45k + Benefits

Our Client is a pioneering investment management firm, whose goals are completely aligned with those of their clients to create long-term value. With some £5bn assets under management they manage institutional investors, financial institutions, private equity, high net worth clients from around the world, and real estate investment strategies. They seek a motivated candidate with strong investment knowledge, to join their expanding Sales, Marketing and Communications Team in London. The Communications part of the team, ensures that clients, the press and staff are kept up-to-date on the Company’s investment views, market movements and fund performance.
The role holder is responsible for producing investment commentary across the firm’s product range. You will be responsible for maintaining the quality of the commentary and generating copy for thought leadership pieces, including white papers, blogs, media articles and press releases. The role holder will assist with written content for client reporting, website, events and marketing literature.

Key responsibilities include managing media relations, writing and editing investment commentary, focusing on investment decisions, portfolio positioning and the macroeconomic environment, contributing to the wider sales, marketing and communications team and producing additional content.

The Successful Candidate:

Graduate with minimum 3 years’ experience in financial services writing and communications with a good knowledge of investment management industry and products
Outstanding written and oral communication skills
Self-motivated with a strategic and creative approach to the work
Strong Word, PowerPoint and Excel skills
Meticulous attention to detail and exceptional organisational skills.
Strong investment writing experience : with the ability to tailor messages and develop story lines to suit a range of audiences: including a wide range of clients and media
Existing relationships with the UK asset management trade media and financial/personal finance journalists
Familiarity with business social media channels, experience of developing social media campaigns and engagement
Personable and professional demeanor. Ability to work as part of a team under demanding timelines across a number of projects while maintaining composure and effectiveness
