Junior Brand Manager

Burgess Pet care is a Yorkshire based family business. We are one of the country’s leading pet food manufacturers with over 200 years’ experience in milling and animal nutrition. We believe in tractor miles not air miles and our ingredients are sourced locally where possible.

Due to a recent change in the structure of the team, a new Brand Manager position has been created to support the Senior Brand manager with a number of Burgess’ biggest and best loved brands.

You will be involved in the full marketing mix including new product development and campaign planning & execution. This is a role that will challenge you on a daily basis, whilst providing the autonomy to control projects and the opportunity to progress within the company.

Responsibilities:
 Assisting in the strategic development, creation and delivery of brand plans
 Assisting with creative delivery of brand proposition across the marketing mix
 Assisting with the development and delivery of NPD and EPD projects in line with our stage and gate process
 Analysis of market research and market data through to insight generation and the
identification of new opportunities
 Working directly with creative & media partners to ensure excellence in implementation and execution
 Attending trade and consumer events

To be successful in one of these roles you need to be able to demonstrate the following:
 Educated to degree level (or equivalent), preferably in a marketing or business field
 Ability to work collaboratively and build strong relationships quickly with both internal and external stakeholders
 Strong written skills with excellent attention to detail
 Strong commercial and analytical skills with P& understanding
 Ability to prioritise and identify important areas, using judgement and instinct
 Experience within FMCG brand marketing and exposure to design and brand planning would be highly advantageous.

Based at our state of the art mill in Pollington, this is an ideal role for a marketer who loves pets and wants to be a part of a business that has animal nutrition at its core. The role offers real scope to develop and will challenge you constantly. No one day will be the same!
