Job Title: Marketing Assistant

Salary: £20,000 - £25,000

Are you an experienced marketing assistant looking for a new challenge? If so you could be the person we are looking for to join their friendly team based in Offord Cluny, Cambridgeshire. The company has been in business since 2004 and specialises in the provision of audio visual solutions to education and corporate businesses. Equipment includes state of the art brand leading interactive touchscreens, and projector and screen solutions, into schools, halls, meeting rooms and boardrooms.

The position reports to the Sales and Marketing Manager who is responsible for the company marketing strategy and the planning of marketing activities. The candidate will need to be able to carry out the marketing activities under their guidance and input, but will need to be a self-starter and contribute ideas. They are not necessarily looking for a graduate as the relevant experience is far more important in this role.

As the company is based in a village, this position would suit a car driver because public transport is limited.

Working hours are flexible but we require someone to work full time or at least 32.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the design of marketing campaigns.
  • Assist with the production of emailer newsletters.
  • Assist with the design of marketing literature.
  • Assist with the production of customer case studies.
  • Copy writing of marketing material.
  • Upkeep of website including writing news stories.
  • Research, booking and organisation of exhibitions and events.
  • Logging exhibition enquiries for reporting purposes.
  • Daily management of social media.
  • ProPoints loyalty card administration.
  • Sending of online customer satisfaction surveys.
  • Production of monthly marketing measurement dashboard.
  • Database manipulation, cleansing and upkeep.
  • Stock take and reordering of marketing collateral.
  • Other organisational and administration duties as required.
  • PR activities may become part of this role as the role grows.

Key Requirements:

  • Marketing experience relevant to the responsibilities above.
  • Copy writing experience.
  • Strong and confident communication skills.
  • Very organised and methodical.
  • Ability to work under their own initiative and organise own work load as well as working as part of a team.
  • Good attention to detail.
  • Good IT skills - WORD, EXCEL, POWERPOINT, PUBLISHER, OUTLOOK and use of databases.
