Researchfish is the worlds leading service for supporting Research funders in understanding what the outcomes are as a result of the money they invest in Research. Researchers are able to log the outputs, outcomes and impacts that have arisen from their work, and report these to their funders and host research organisations via the researchfishÒ system. The Researchfish team supports and assists all users (researchers, research managers, funders etc) to use the system, and also to get the most out of the information collected. As an organisation Researchfish is looking to expand our customer base with specific focus on international growth.
Overall role purpose
Build and manage a comprehensive marketing strategy
Manage customer/prospect facing communication tools and literature
Support the Researchfish team with the planning and attendance of events
Oversee CRM reporting tools
General aim of role
The main aim of this role is to support the Sales and Marketing Director to refine and manage the marketing strategy for the business in respect of winning new customers. The successful applicant will work closely with the sales and marketing director and the relationship and communications manager to ensure consistent messaging from the onset of communicating with potential customers and their lifetime as a Researchfish member.
As a small and energetic company this role will be varied and require a hands on approach in a number of areas.
This post reports to the Sales and Marketing Director. The role is primarily office based but there will necessitate some time working off site.
Main duties/key responsibilities
Build a communication plan for the acquisition of new members to the Researchfish service
Copywriting to support the website content & progressing website content development with Sales Director/Support Team
Review and construct prospect facing communication material, brochures, videos, case studies
Manage press releases
Compose quarterly news letter to customers / prospect mailing list
Manage website blog
Manage and grow Twitter
Manage CRM functions
Knowledge & experience
Excellent overall marketing skills
An understanding of sales messaging and sales processes
Adobe Indesign/Illustrator or equivalent
Ability to work autonomously and effectively manage your own areas of work
CRM / Salesforce skills, Proven ability to maintain accurate and up to date customer records.
Website design and content management
A good understanding of social media platforms
Knowledge and understanding of the research environment.
An understanding of Researchfish.
