Introduction

TCM is a well-established boutique management consultancy with a client list including Tesco, Aviva, Network Rail, Virgin Atlantic, Google, Royal Mail, HSBC, BT, Marks and Spencer along with numerous universities, hospitals, police forces and Whitehall departments. We are seeking an experienced, ambitious and accomplished sales and marketing professional to help us to take our business to the next level. TCM specialises in providing human resources and leadership consultancy and training. Our main focus is on improving the way that organisations handle conflict, change and crisis.

About the role

TCM is a small business (8 full time employees plus associates). We are seeking a methodical, self-motivated, experienced and confident business development professional to raise the profile of our business. The Sales and Marketing Manager will be responsible for marketing TCM’s wide range of courses, services and events and generating leads and closing sales.

This will include:

  • Developing and executing our sales and marketing strategy and operational marketing plans.
  • Creating and implementing e-marketing and PR campaigns which promote our extensive range of courses, services, events and webinars.
  • Nurturing and managing leads and enquiries from our extensive programme of campaigns, events, seminars and webinars.
  • Support account management activities, primarily Customer Review Meetings.
  • Developing and maintaining our WordPress website including creating compelling content and graphics.
  • Developing a coherent set of brand values which are used across our online and offline collateral.
  • Some graphic design – creating course factsheets, infographics or memes. We use Adobe creative cloud. We use external graphic designers to support the business as required.
  • Creating and curating content including case studies, blogs, news, white papers and video.
  • Building our social media presence.
  • General PR and communications including producing press releases and managing product launches (always in partnership with others in the business).
  • Generating a commercial culture within TCM and supporting the CEO and our world class consultants to drive commercial success within the business.
  • Working with external partners as required e.g. graphic design, video, animation and PR.

The primary objective is to drive significant revenue growth within the UK and overseas markets over the next three years. The Sales and Marketing Manager will be responsible for developing and delivering a coherent business development strategy and promoting TCM’s wide range of courses, products and services. 

  • Developing and maintaining sales and marketing plans to help you to manage a diverse range of courses, events, webinars and activities.
  • Developing and maintaining our WordPress website.
  • Graphic design – brochures, factsheets, flyers, infographics, memes, web pages etc. We use Adobe creative cloud.
  • Co-ordinating a wide range of events including seminars, workshops, short courses, webinars, conferences and round tables.
  • Creating proposals, brochures, fact-sheets, flyers, info-graphics, memes, web pages etc. 
  • Creating and implementing marketing campaigns which will promote our extensive range of services, courses and events.
  • Generating leads from our campaigns seminars, workshops and webinars.
  • Managing our social media presence: LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter and YouTube.
  • Gathering and curating evidence and data for use as part of communications and marketing activities.
  • General PR including producing press releases and managing product launches (always in partnership with others in the business).

About You

You are passionate about sales and marketing and you are looking for an exciting opportunity to really make your mark in a small business environment. This role is the sales and marketing team however, you will be working with a very active CEO, a fantastic business support team, a team of world class consultants and a growing community of freelance marketing and PR support.

Essential

  • 3 years’ senior sales and marketing experience.
  • You are methodical, well organised and are able to manage complex and often competing priorities.
  • You enjoy working as part of a small team and using your own initiative with limited supervision.
  • Self-motivated and a self-starter.
  • You are an expert in digital marketing and you have advanced knowledge of:
    - CRM (we use SalesForce)
    - Website design and development (we use WordPress)
    - Email marketing (we use MailChimp)
    - Social Media (we use Sprout Social)
    - Graphic Design (we use Adobe Creative Cloud)
  • Marketing professional services, Business to Business Marketing (B2B).
  • A relevant degree or qualification.

Desirable

  • Experience od Sales and Marketing in an SME.
  • Experience of marketing training, events and conferences.

You know how to make an email and a brochure stand out from the crowd. You use an evidence based approach in your work. You love data and you understand the importance of using data to inform sales, marketing and wider business decisions. You are flexible and self-motivated and you work well with limited supervision. You are able to manage multiple tasks and are un-phased by the pressures of marketing a complex range of campaigns, events, courses, services and products – in fact you thrive on them.

You have an eye for detail and an eye for great design. You work well as part of a small team and you bring energy and a positive ‘can do’ approach to your work. You enjoy telling a story and you recognise that the best stories are those that come directly from our customers. You are innovative and creative and you fully understand how to communicate the benefits of complex services or products. You are passionate about your own career development and you stay up to date with latest thinking in terms of business development, digital marketing, content marketing, social media, branding and design.

The Package

The salary for this position is £45,000 to £50,000 per annum plus generous holidays, pension and profit share bonus scheme. A substantial performance bonus will be offered for achievement of agreed KPI’s.
