Job Summary:

The Marketing & New Business Executive will act as a lynch pin within Merryck & Co. We are looking for someone highly-organised and approachable to work across the two major functions of business development and marketing.

The Marketing & New Business Executive will support the Head of Operations & Head of Business Development in delivering best practice use of Salesforce to provide efficiency and accuracy as well as hold responsibility for delivering content to our target audiences using our website, marketing collateral and digital media.

Responsibilities include:

Business Development Support

• Ensure Salesforce best practice is implemented across the business

• Work with Head of Operations and Head of Business Development to ensure Salesforce is ‘fit for purpose’ and meets the needs of the business

• Monitor the daily upkeep of Salesforce data entry for accuracy and relevance

• Work closely with Head Business Development to provide detailed reporting of pipeline activity

• Act as the single point of contact for all IT queries working with our approved IT supplier

• Produce reports and key information for the fortnightly Business Development meetings

• Provide adhoc research to support Business Development objectives

• Monitor BoardEx alerts on a daily basis, updating Salesforce and notifying the relevant Business Development Consultants of significant changes

• Train new team members as required and help employees with any user issues

Marketing Support

• Work with Marketing in the set-up, deployment and analysis of eMail activity across UK and Europe, including building and editing of HTML templates, management mailing lists, collation and analysis of results

• Managing digital activities across a variety of digital channels, including web, social media, and email campaigns

• Update and maintain the website, mentor portal and marketing collateral with relevant information

• Measure and report on all digital activities, including tracking response rates, SEO performance, and traffic to the website and identifying opportunities to optimise these further to provide increased ROI

Requirements of the role:

• Graduate calibre with relevant work experience and a good understanding of business administration and reporting skills

• Strong research and analytical skills and a data-driven mindset

• Proven work experience as CRM executive or similar position

• Excellent MS Office skills with advanced working knowledge of systems including Salesforce, MS Office tools: Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook

• Good working knowledge of Campaign Monitor, Adobe Indesign, Photoshop, WordPress and Indesign

• Confident and can communicate well at all levels in a company

• Proactive with a 'can do' attitude – you get the job done even when there are multiple conflicting deadlines
