Marketing Manager 

Location: Wimbledon

Salary: Up to £50,000 depending on skills and experience

We have an exciting new full-time opportunity for a Marketing Strategy Manager to join our Customer Marketing and Product team here at Domestic & General in Head Office, Wimbledon.

Reporting to the Head of Customer Marketing, you will own the customer marketing plan, ensuring that customers and prospects engage with our products and services and that our marketing communication and engagement adds value, encouraging customers to stay with us longer.

As Marketing Strategy Manager you will also define the customer marketing and engagement principles for our business including contact rules, messaging, tone of voice and branding. Not only this, but you will influence which channels and routes to market we offer now and in the future.

Ultimately you will be responsible for engaging more customers with our products, and ensuring that our customers are at the heart of what we do here at Domestic & General.

Key role responsibilities:

  • Define and own the customer marketing and engagement principles for our business, this includes responsibility for defining the following:
    • Contact Principles: how often we contact our customers and prospects, and for what reason; to sell, retain, inform, capture data.
    • Communication Principles: define brand strategy, what is the message and positioning for each customer segment, what is the tone of voice (applicable to written and verbal communication - mail, digital content and scripts)
    • Channel Principles: define which channels we should we be using to communicate by customer segment
  • Responsible for ensuring our customer marketing plan aligns with our customer strategy and meets our business objective of ‘smarter targeting’.
  • Responsible for revolutionising the current one size fits all customer marketing approach.
  • Introduce new reasons to communicate with our customers, providing more useful and relevant content which helps to improve the value of our products and services.
  • Working closely with the customer journey teams to ensure our plans are delivering, and campaigning performance improves.
  • Working with the customer data and insight teams to ensure the segmentation and targeting is working effectively

Skills and experience:

We are looking for a customer marketing communications expert who has previously worked in a B2C consumer marketing environment.

You will have a proven understanding of best practice customer marketing and routes to market, and be commercially focused whilst putting the customer at the heart of every decision made.

Lastly, you will have outstanding communication skills enabling you to work effectively with stakeholders across our business.
