Job Summary: 

 

The candidate will drive media and analyst relations, primarily for the Consumer Goods & Services business in Accenture’s Products Group.  The role includes development and promotion of campaigns in the media to help prepare the landscape for lead generation and sales. The media and analyst relations candidate is expected to work with both Products and global corporate media and analyst relations teams.

 

The candidate is expected to possess excellent writing skills, have a good knowledge of the CGS and Retail business, as well as the technology media, be able to offer sound professional advice and be able to develop and execute a range of media and analyst strategies. The role includes management of a PR agency and interaction with key industry analysts, so experience in this area is vital.

 

 

Key Responsibilities: 

 

  • Proactively drive media and analyst coverage for CGS, as well as other areas of Products, particularly Retail.
  • Deliver and execute local media plans to promote Accenture in target media.
  • Provide timely responses to media and analyst requests.
  • Offer professional advice to CGS leadership and global media and analyst relations colleagues regarding campaigns and issues, including acquisitions.
  • Manage and develop professional working relationships with key journalists and clients.
  • Provide media training for our spokespeople where necessary.
  • Work closely and manage relationships with our PR agency.
  • Run regular briefings with key analysts from Gartner, IDC, etc.

External Relationships: Media, analysts, clients, third party vendors, PR agency

 

Qualifications

 

Knowledge and Skill Requirements:

 

  • Understanding of Accenture’s area of business and overall business strategy.
  • Understanding of and ability to execute strategic PR and communications techniques.
  • Understanding of industry analyst relations.
  • Good relationships with UK business and technology media.
  • Be able to provide sound professional advice and solutions to colleagues and clients.
  • Ability to create messages across different areas of Accenture’s business.
  • Global perspective and understanding of business marketplace.
  • Project management skills.
  • Demonstrate leadership skills with colleagues and PR agencies.
  • Ability to develop and apply creative, workable solutions to project-related issues.
  • Strong oral and written communications skills.
  • Ability to work independently.
