An exciting opportunity has arisen for a business development specialist to join a major law firm. You will be a key member of a dynamic business development team and will be tasked with driving new business generation across the firm.
The New Business Development Manager will be responsible for fostering a proactive sales culture across the partnership demonstrating leadership and best practice in areas such as pipeline management, sales techniques and proposition development. You will actively target new business opportunities, support partners in developing business with existing clients and play an active role in the conversion of leads into new clients. This will be done in a variety of ways from developing and managing revenue generating new business campaigns across the firm, managing pitches including coaching and preparing fee earners, initiating and attending new business meetings and developing and managing a pipeline of new business opportunities throughout the sales lifecycle from initial target identification through to instruction by the client.
The firm is looking for a bright graduate with solid and proven experience in a sales and business development role within a professional services firm, ideally in a commercial legal environment, to include campaign management, proposition development and creating and manging a pipeline of new business. A resilient self-starter, the New Business Development Manager must have excellent communication skills and possess both commercial acumen and the ability to work under pressure, whilst prioritising and handling a number of concurrent projects and tasks. To be successful in this role it is essential that the role holder is proactive and able to motivate themselves and inspire the business.
