An excellent regional opportunity has arisen for a business development professional to join a top 45 law firm as a New Business Manager based in their Liverpool office. The role holder will provide new business development support to Partners to drive profitable growth and revenue generation.

The successful applicant will be responsible for identifying and developing opportunities for new work, whether that be from new prospects in existing sectors, or new market sectors and will provide practical assistance to Partners, to ensure key business development opportunities with targets can be exploited. The New Business Manager will work closely with the Client Segment Head of Owner Managed Business and Private Client and their lead Partners to implement and manage agreed new business development initiatives, which will include identifying growth opportunities within market sectors or regions, targeting new clients, lead generation activity, sales pipeline management, new product development and preparing client segment business plans. You will support the Bids team with knowledge of prospects and markets for tenders, pitches and presentations for relevant client segment and provide coaching and mentoring support for Partners on new business development and sales activity and identify where there are training needs. You will also work closely with the wider Marketing team using client and market insights to develop campaigns which engage prospects, enhance the market positioning and reputation of the client segment and lead to profitable new business revenue.

The firm is looking for a confident, assertive and resilient business development professional with a proven track record of developing new business in a professional services environment. Commercially aware and astute, with outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, the New Business Manager must be a self-starter, who can work on their own initiative and will be proactive in developing ideas and solutions.
