A leading player within the Health & Beauty sector is seeking an experienced Integrated Marketing / e-Commerce Director to take full ownership of a newly launched e-Commerce venture in the role of On-line Retail General Manager.

In conjunction with an industry partner and a City investment group this new e-Commerce venture will focus primarily on GP consultation, private prescribing services and selling general health and beauty products online. Recently benefitting from a multi million pound investment the site has already commenced an advertising campaign with a significant spend in the first quarter of 2012. As such they are now seeking to fill the new position of On-Line Retail General Manager to develop robust plans that will deliver significant changes to the way the site operates.

Reporting in to the CEO and board of directors, the On-Line Retail General Manager will translate the corporate objectives into a vision for the site, you'll produce the development strategy and deliver a realistic and challenging business plan. You'll be responsible for delivering against three year profit and revenue targets as well as working effectively with city investors. You'll also be responsible for developing the strategy for and leading a team who manage content, e-marketing, on-line marketing tools and customer services as well as managing the off line strategy and appropriate agencies.

The successful candidate will need to be highly entrepreneurial and have relevant experience working as either deputy or MD within a retail internet market or be an outstanding achiever at senior marketing / commercial level with significant on-line retail experience. You'll need to be an expert top level communicator with first class negotiation skills and able to influence a diverse board of directors. You'll naturally be expedient, visionary and able to initiate, inspire and drive success with experience operating within the Health & Beauty or similar sector being highly desired.
