The Digital Team sits within our Commercial Group and is responsible for Digital Marketing, eCommerce across Sky.com, long-term Digital strategy and development across Sky’s online estates. Generating high volume, quality traffic to Sky’s website and ensuring strong conversion off the back of a great online customer experience is paramount.

Your key responsibilities:

As a member of the Search team you will be working with the Marketing Controller to determine channel strategy and work alongside another Marketing Manager to maximise sales and efficiency, while ensuring a ‘best in class’ PPC approach to all activity. Customer quality and value should also be a consideration

- Ownership of the project plan, driving the channel forward beyond BAU requirements
- Lead the search agency and chair weekly agency status meetings, reporting on performance and identify opportunities for PPC.
- Quarterly forecasts for always-on activity against historic performance, impact from other trading routes to market, and demonstrating awareness of wider through-the-line marketing activity.
- Stakeholder responsibility including relaying campaign briefs and responses to and from the PPC agency, inputting and feeding back on proposals and obtaining sign off.
- Providing direction for the approach to account testing and optimisation in line with business requirements, also ensuring that the agency capture insight by maintaining a testing archive.
- Liaising with the e-commerce team to keep abreast of best customer sales journeys, conversion optimisation and building of bespoke PPC landing pages where necessary.
- Communicating offer changes, inputting in creation and testing of ad copies and gaining legal approval where necessary.
- Maintain awareness of the latest PPC news, betas and test opportunities with Google and Bing.

Your skills:

- Minimum 2+ years hands on PPC experience as well as planning of the channel
- Strong understanding of the core disciplines of digital marketing in an e-commerce environment and how PPC fits into the mix
- Passionate about driving marketing performance and ROI
- SEO expertise, with the ability to influence performance across the SERP
- Excellent analytical skills with experience of and comfort with working in a data-driven environment
- Proven experience of managing significant marketing budgets and accountability for meeting revenue targets
- Demonstrable, hands-on track record of using digital marketing to transform channel(s) revenue and customer acquisition
- Evidence of influencing and challenging key business decisions at department level and cross functionally
