One of the UK's most talked about law firms is looking for a Senior PR & Communications professional to join a young, vibrant, dynamic and award-winning marketing team as PR & Communications Manager.
This is a hands-on role and requires a self-starter who will be fully responsible for the marketing and communications of the firm, identifying opportunities and raising the firm's profile across a number of areas. The PR & Communications Manager will be required to leverage existing media relationships and cultivate new contacts within business and industry media. You will develop a media relations strategy, seeking high-level placements in print, broadcast and online media and co-ordinate all public relations activities. This will include managing media enquiries and interview requests; creating press releases, articles and thought leadership reports; overseeing and drafting social media posts; circulating and showcasing media coverage; developing a client newsletter schedule; editing lawyer-written articles and drafting new lawyer profiles; managing and collating content for the firm's internal magazine; drafting award submissions and brand content; evaluating potential opportunities for advertising and partnerships; and monitoring and analysing PR results.
Ideal candidates will have a minimum of 4 years' solid PR experience to ideally include time spent working in a similar role in law firm and a track record in creating successful public relations campaigns at a local and national level. The PR & Communications Manager should have good oral and superior written communication and proofreading skills, with a high level of attention to detail and possess solid experience with social media including blogs, Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn. The ability to think creatively and outside of the usual legal confines when necessary will be essential.
