Overview:

A really exciting opportunity where you are responsible for driving the vision, messaging, awareness and go-to-market strategies for our Scale Up segment and country innovative marketing plans to achieve fast customer adoption of Sage solutions in the Business Management Systems segment, and to energize sales and channel partners to do the same. 

Sage’s Scale Up segment is largely our Business Management Solutions (BMS). Managing finances, sales, customer service and inventory separately can be time consuming and inefficient. Sage Business Management Solutions, available in the cloud or on-premise, are ideal for businesses in the manufacturing, distribution or service industry and offer the perfect alternative to ERP for growing or enterprise businesses who want to improve their agility and efficiency, and get powerful insight into business processes by bringing them together into one simple solution. 

With your help, our global Product Marketing function will create and tell inspirational customer and market focused stories with cutting edge demonstrations to people around the world.  

You will develop product messaging and positioning, go-to-market programs, and sales enablement resources while working closely with your marketing peers in the creation of compelling campaigns. 

We measure your success by your ability to develop creative and innovative marketing strategies, your ability to gain key buyers' mindshare and by the delivery of successful commercial results. You will have a real passion for taking the complex and making it simple, and for marketing through compelling stories.

Responsibilities:

  • You will be responsible for the commercial success of the our Scale Up segment in the country, working with the industry's best product marketing team to define the positioning, go-to-market messaging and strategies
  • Identify relevant business opportunities and define the triggers in order to maximise the performance for the segment (new customer units, reactivation, etc.), based on deep customer and market understanding lead and champion engagement with those opportunities and propositions cross functionally, to ensure successful delivery.
  • Build and manage exciting, innovative product launch plans that are fully synced with business and revenue goals and ensure effective and ongoing relevancy in the market to drive demand generation and pipeline.
  • Partner with a world class Product Management team to distill key functionality and benefits into core product marketing messages.
  • Develop effective sales training materials, making it easy for sales to understand our product offerings and key positioning.
  • Partner with marketing to create innovative marketing campaigns, SEO, and web design to build pipeline.
  • Localize all marketing materials for global solutions, including value propositions, messaging positioning, sales enablement tools and ensure local execution is consistent with global messaging.
  • Work with the Country Product Marketing VP and the Segment Product Marketing Director to manage local forecasts, funnels and contribute to business planning and set KPIs, tracking, testing and optimizing for results in collaboration with Marketing Operations.
  • Deeply understand competition in the segment and country, determining Sage’s relative positioning according to their products.
  • Act as a local ambassador of Sage exemplifying great social marketing.
  • Contribute to our global marketing charter to be the most successful marketing team on the planet by being obsessed with customers and creativity.

Qualifications:

  • You will be a rock-star in this area!
  • Strong knowledge of the IT industry (accounting technology and/or software experience an asset), the business management needs and challenges faced by customers and competitors in the space.
  • You will have the ability to work in an international and matrix environment
  • Strong knowledge of the market in the country and segment they would own, which includes the business management needs and challenges faced by customers, competitors in the space.
  • Experienced in product marketing methodologies combined with marketing/communications track record, effectively working with marketing and sales/channel teams.
  • Experience launching new technology products to disrupt markets through innovative ideas balanced with market research.
  • Experience/familiarity with the customer engagement lifecycle and accounting solutions applications.
  • Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills with a demonstrated ability to work with cross-functional teams and to encourage and support others to achieve their objectives.
  • Results oriented with strong time management skills, highly organized and driven to succeed.
  • Super-star skills managing multiple projects with very tight deadlines.
  • Exceptional team player with proven ability to lead through influence!
