Salary: Competitive + potential for performance - based annual bonus

About the Company:

They are a world-leading specialist automotive engineering company for vehicle fuel protection solutions, situated in Chalfont St. Peter, Buckinghamshire.

They offer security and safety products for a wide variety of vehicles, from trucks, buses and vans, to mining and agricultural machinery, to boats. They work with a combination of OEMs, major parts distributors, small distributors, commission-based agents, and resellers worldwide.

About the Role:

Working closely with the CEO and the Operations Director to expand our sales network, the role offers an excellent early career opportunity for an ambitious individual.

You will focus on international projects to acquire and support regional agents and parts re-sellers, but also assist with UK-based sales.

The role is based in the UK, but may lead to some travel to Europe and beyond in due course.

You will be building and maintaining relationships with a wide variety of customers, from supporting the CEO with corporate marketing and sales materials for major automotive companies to directly working with local dealers and resellers worldwide; you will not be the standard sales representative 'knocking on doors' and this is not a telesales position.

You will develop, manage and exploit the company's CRM system and you will work closely with a small technical team developing product awareness for a straightforward range of security and safety products.

Your role will expose you to all facets of the business, allowing you to become involved in the 'big picture' and influence decisions at the highest level in time.

The Candidate:

  • Either degree-educated with 1-2 years of relevant experience or with equivalent experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Ready to mould this new role, introducing sales & marketing systems and processes for implementation across the company.
  • Hands-on, organised, logical, able to prioritise, and able to work to short deadlines.
  • Able to work transparently, alone or with others.
  • Open to an ever-changing workplace, interested in a diverse 'small' company/team. Looking to settle and grow career within the Company.

Requirements:

Essential:

Experience of sales and marketing, with some training. IT literate, with very good IT-based presentation skills. Excellent communication abilities, including with international customers.

Ideal:

Languages will be favourably viewed. Experience running web presence, social media and PR, or interest in doing so. Knowledge of, or interest in, the automotive parts industry.
