Our clients’ aim is the help their students succeed, right from their first day to the day that they leave. As a Further Education college based in North Tyneside, they provide training that allows their students, the community and employers of North Tyneside and beyond to succeed and prosper.

They are seeking to recruit a dynamic, School Liaison Officer to actively promote the College as a place to study through engagement with future 14-18 year old learners through a range of school liaison activities.

Liaising with feeder schools and developing closer links with other schools across a broader reach over the borough and sub-region, you will plan, coordinate and evaluate recruitment events and activities across the college calendar including the event management of taster days, workshops and assemblies; representing the College as appropriate on external committees and at external events as and when required.

Working with students in focus groups and other settings to carry out research and market test new Marketing ideas and designs/publications, you will be the coordinator and administrate the Science Pathway Project in line with plan and act as the point of contact for the College in relation to the organisation of STEM related activities.

The successful candidate will require a relevant nationally recognised level 4 qualification, Level 2 Numeracy and Literacy qualifications, excellent presentation, communication and interpersonal skills.  With a background in planning and managing events, you must be self-motivated and able to prioritise your workload, work under pressure and use own initiative.
 
Any offer of employment will be subject to the receipt of a satisfactory Standard certificate from the Disclosure and Barring Service
