A top 20 international law firm is looking to recruit a Senior BD Manager on a 12 month fixed term contract basis. This is a truly international role, based in the Corporate & Commercial International Practice Group, where you will work strategically and tactically to plan, deliver and lead incisive and value-added business development support ensuring key objectives in the business plans are achieved. In addition the Senior BD Manager will be responsible for supporting some of the firm's global key client teams to achieve relationship development objectives.

Operating at the highest levels within the firm, the role will be have a very strong BD and CRM feel to it. The Senior BD Manager will be responsible for working with the Corporate & Commercial IPG head to develop and drive the implementation of the business plan in alignment with firm strategy as well as business development responsibility for a number of the firm's priority clients. Concentrating on a number of key clients, you will act as the driving force behind the development and implementation of the client development strategy for nominated international key client teams as well as directing client development initiatives. Added to this you will work closely with the relevant internal clients to put together a business plan covering all areas of the BD and marketing mix, covering all the firm's offices. Also involved will be budget management, product development - a key part of the role where you will need to understand and work with the products in order to take them to market - strategic bid management, team mentoring and broader marketing communications.

The team is relatively small so it is key that you have the ability to operate strategically but with a hands-on approach as well. Other pre-requisites include, a strong academic background (at least a 2:1) and preferably other post graduate qualifications, allied to extensive business development and CRM exposure gained in a global professional services environment. It is essential that the Senior BD Manager has previously played a key part in global account management, having taken an active role on client teams. The Senior BD Manager will also need outstanding internal advisory and team management skills.
