An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Business Development Manager to join a leading international legal firm. Working as a core member of the Global Business Development Team you will be tasked with helping the firm translate its business strategy of profitable growth, engaged people and outstanding client relationships into tangible deliverables.

You will work with the Global Industry Leaders to lead the business development strategy for the firm's global Financial Institutions Industry Group and to develop and execute on its business plan which includes a strategy for prioritising client targeting initiatives and developing priority client relationships, including targeting new clients as well as expanding existing clients. Working closely with the Funds and Private Equity industry groups to identify synergies and opportunities for cross-selling and industry brand building, the successful candidate will be responsible for identifying business development opportunities and strengthening the firm's profile externally and internally. You will set objectives for growing priority client relationships in the sector and act as lead global Relationship Manager for several large key and priority client accounts, fulfilling all internal and external relationship development needs for these clients. You will also develop, monitor and interpret market intelligence and lead on complex global client panel bids. The Senior BD Manager will work with lawyers and administrative departments to set the annual marketing budget and monitor expenditure and work in partnership with the global marketing team to develop and execute a marketing strategy, to include thought leadership and campaigns aligned with the BD objectives of the group.

With a strong academic record, you will have demonstrable business development and marketing experience gained in a large law firm or professional services setting. An excellent and confident communicator both orally and in writing, you must possess the ability to build relationships with, and gain the confidence of, lawyers, senior business leaders and other professionals at all levels internally and externally and have strong, proven leadership and motivational skills. International, collaborative, energetic, with an ability to drive activity and connections across the firm, it is essential that the Senior BD Manager, brings a real enthusiasm and knowledge of the FI sector.
