A global law firm are seeking a Senior Client Development Manager to join the management team. As part of a team of client relationship and business development professionals, the successful candidate will bring experience developing and running a sales and/or a recruitment process within a B2B environment. The Senior Client Development Manager will take a prominent role in building productive resourcing relationships with major clients.
The current team has strong strategy, CRM, business development and communications skillset. The successful candidate should bring strong relationship-based sales capabilities and will help develop a sales-minded culture, developing the confidence, skills and frameworks to identify and convert leads and prospects. This role will report to the Head of Client Development. The position will suit an individual who is adaptable, resilient, and collaborative and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
The Client Development team is responsible for identifying, managing and closing opportunities to place consultants into roles either within the firm or with clients, and for developing meaningful relationships with those clients. The Senior Client Development Manager will take a leading role in the Client Development team, with particular responsibility for clients external to the firm.
The key responsibilities of this role include having oversight of the 'opportunities book' and assisting the client development team to deliver on revenue, margin and placement targets; personally leading a number of strategic accounts, developing strong relationships and driving strong revenue growth; supervising and coaching more junior team members; developing and driving a proactive client development programme; assisting the development and delivery of a high-quality 'sale process' that delivers on the experience for both consultants and clients; and assisting in the expansion of the current client base. Depending on the successful candidate, in time it is anticipated that the role will encompass staff management responsibilities.
You will have previous experience in a client-facing business development role, in a professional services environment and experience of structured sales processes. You will possess a management style which encourages open dialogue across the team and helps each team member to achieve their professional and personal objectives. You'll have a track record building strong and sustainable relationships, and leveraging relationships commercially and excellent communication skills, with an engaging and sophisticated writing style.
